Surrender your dog through our Intervention Program

By surrendering your dog through our volunteer owned and operated rescue service, you are allowing Pause For Paws Animal Sanctuary an opportunity to rehome them through the Intervention Program. Rather than surrendering them to an overcrowded shelter, you are helping us divert one more dog from entering that system  by letting us rehome them remotely through ours where they have a chance to go directly to their forever-home.

The first way we can help rehome your dog is through our VSPA. This is our Volunteer Sanctuary Pool Alliance, a membership of residents throughout the county. Your dog will immediately be shown to every member within this alliance immediately after you complete the surrender form.

After this, your dog will then begin to circulate our social media platforms within a campaign tailored to them specifically. We encourage everyone who surrenders through us to find these campaigns on our various platforms and comment as the current caregiver in order to boost the chances of rehoming. The platforms we are active on include but are not limited to: Facebook, the VSPA Instagram (For Surrendered Dogs Up For Adoption), our main Instagram, Threads, NextDoor Neighbor, Substack, Mastadon, Pinterest, and Blue Sky.

PLEASE NOTE: By submitting an Intervention Application, you are also agreeing to being automatically enrolled in to the VSPA. This membership is completely free and has no other commitments, it is simply how we track our intakes and adoptions.
